NBHA CA 17 Club Rules & Member Information
Annual Member Fees:
Individual, Senior, or Youth: $XXX for 1 rider, 1 horse. $XX for each additional horse (adult, youth, or senior). Plus $XX sponsorship money.
Peewee: $XX for one Peewee rider (no adult rider). Plus $XX sponsorship money.
The $xxx sponsorship money is due by the xxx meeting. This sponsorship contribution supports year-end awards. Members are encouraged to secure a local business as a sponsor (preferred) or can opt to pay the sponsorship themselves.
Meeting Information:
NBHA CA 17 meets the third Tuesday of each month from 7-8pm, spanning July through April.
While attendance at meetings is not mandatory, we strongly encourage members to participate. Meetings are a great opportunity to provide input, learn about the club's operations, and socialize with fellow members.
Location details for the meetings will be announced on our club calendar.
Member Activities:
Weekly Wednesday Night Races: Held from 6-9pm at JPK Arena, from May to October. These races are exclusive to active members. Ensure your membership is current to participate.

Arena Etiquette:
We expect all members to practice good arena etiquette: take turns, avoid cutting off others, and make one run before exiting the pattern for the next rider.
Ensure children are on controllable horses.
Always clean up after your horses.
Member Duties:
To qualify for Club Awards, members must:
Participate in 4 out of 6 seasonal races, assisting with various tasks (time-only's, gate, barrels, setup, cleanup, office, or teardown). Youth members have specific roles they can assist with, prioritizing safety.
Bring in $XX of sponsorship money by the November meeting. A Sponsorship Packet is available for download on our website for you to give to potential sponsors.
Club Leadership And Volunteering:
Our board and committee positions are volunteer roles crucial to the club's success. Serving offers rewards, including Officer Awards at season's end. No experience necessary – we provide training!
Roles include:
- Secretary: Maintains records, documents, and communication, including meeting minutes and member correspondence.
- Treasurer: Manages finances, including collection and disbursement of funds, and provides financial reports.
- Social Media & Website Editor: Manages online presence, including updates and promotions.
- Sponsorship Coordinator: Tracks sponsorship contributions and liaises with sponsors.
- Points Coordinator: Keeps accurate records of competition points and updates.
- Awards Committee: Manages awards selection and distribution.
- Office/Entry Committee: Ensures smooth operation of race entries.
- Head Worker Bee: Coordinates member participation in race day duties.
